Stricklen Family

                                     Dr. Harve M. Stricklen and wife, Olivette.

Olivette M. Sturth was born August 24, 1885, in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. She was the Daughter of Henry Sturth and Matilda Lyons Sturth.
She married Dr. Harve M. Stricklen on June 30, 1908 in Kansas City, Missouri, and they made their first home in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, where Dr. Stricklen was a practicing physician and surgeon. They came to Arkansas City in 1928, and he preceded her in death on April 2, 1946.
Dr. Stricklen served as Post Surgeon on Governors Island, New York during the World War 1. Mrs. Stricklen went with him and served in Mrs. Vincent Astor’s hut “Victory,” and later assisted in establishing the Oklahoma Bureau in the hall of States in New York City.
She died in 1981.
